) and mentored by the team behind the series Sin gluten. The training activities also include the INK Motion day, dedicated to literary adaptation for the screen, featuring a panel discussion, a pitching session showcasing around ten projects, a master class by filmmaker Jorge Naranjo (Casting) and the presentation of the study The Screenwriting Profession in Spain.

The first European Theatrical Exhibition Days will also take place, debating the value of the movie theatre as a space for social cohesion and community, the future of European theatres in light of new cultural habits, the contribution of young audiences to film and an analysis of audience trends.

A dedicated strand, A Look at Denmark, will examine the Nordic country’s financing and production model through the co-production experience of The Girl with the Needle [+see also:

by Magnus von Horn; meanwhile, the sessions El Parné or Show Me the Money will lay out financing strategies.

FRAME Sevilla will also explore new production methods with a special focus on technology, post-production and sustainability. The technical days will include talks on immersive cinema, visual effects (VFX), post-production and new models for sustainable shoots. In addition, the Sevilla Content City project will be presented, and a session will be held on innovation and sustainability in audiovisual production.

The event will address the sector’s commitment to a sustainable industry by presenting the Cinenido project, centred on work-life balance; a partnership with Asaenes to raise mental-health awareness through cinema; and the Foco Festival, which champions audiovisual education for young audiences.

Along these lines, several specific initiatives will tackle gender equality. The Women in Focus day will include a session on music in film from an authors’ rights perspective, with experts from SGAE and with Rocío Mesa and Paloma Peñarubia, the director and the music lead, respectively, of Tobacco Barns [+see also:

. There will also be a round-table with RTVE’s Equality Observatory and AAMMA, a screening of the documentary No estás loca. La verdad sobre la violencia vicaria, directed by María Bestar, and a debate on diversity and inclusion in film.

Furthermore, the festival is partnering with European Film Promotion’s Future Frames programme (see the news), screening short films by young filmmakers Ruairi Bradley, Veera Lamminpää, Mila Ryngaert and Nausica Serra, as well as hosting a meeting with them.

FRAME Sevilla will also serve as a forum for encounters and connections. Throughout the week, networking sessions, cocktail receptions, coffee breaks and happy hours will be organised at different venues across the city to foster dialogue among industry stakeholders. Within this context, the Screen Tourism Days will bring together culture, heritage and cinema to showcase Seville through its locations. This latter event will also unveil the data underpinning its impact, present the Lorens platform and conclude with a city tour.
