DAMA selects six projects for the fourth Second Version Laboratory
- Miguel Bardem, Daniela Fejerman, Esther Paredes, Laura Jou, Pau Martínez, Miguel Alcantud and Eva Mor are taking part in the audiovisual incubator for creators over 50

DAMA, the organisation that manages audiovisual rights for screenwriters and directors in Spain, has announced the projects selected for the fourth edition of its Second Version Laboratory, an incubator aimed at creators over the age of 50. This year’s laboratory is coordinated by filmmaker Susana Casares, with tutorials led by directors Jorge Dorado, Alejo Flah, Belén Funes, Carlota Pereda, Laura Sarmiento, and Félix Viscarret. Each project will also receive €6,000 in financial support. The programme will conclude with a presentation day attended by agents and representatives from the audiovisual industry. Below are the selected projects:
Ella dijo no is a feature by Miguel Bardem (the director of Incautos and Christmas Cracker) and Daniela Fejerman (Alguien que cuide de mí [+see also:

It tells the story of Alberto, a burnt-out AI executive and professional poser, who discovers an unpublished script that the great filmmaker Juan Antonio Bardem dedicated to his mother - Ella dijo no. Alberto becomes obsessed with convincing Miguel, the filmmaker's own son and a director in crisis, to read it, only to have the door slammed in his face.
La noche del lobo is a six-episode miniseries by Esther Paredes (screenwriter of the series Lo Cartanyà) that reinterprets the classic tales of the Big Bad Wolf to explore the collective trauma experienced after the DANA of October 2024. Both the myth and the real‑life event evoke archetypal fears: the loss of shelter, the threat to life and the eruption of chaos into everyday life.
La passió segons la Rosa is the title of Laura Jou's feature film. The director of Life without Sara Amat [+see also:

When the building she shares with her lifelong neighbours faces imminent eviction and her memory begins to falter, she is forced to confront ageing, dependence and the fight to preserve her dignity in a city that no longer wants them.
Mácula is a film project by Pau Martínez (Inocente, El kaserón [+see also:

Her personal obsessions and phobias begin to take shape around her in a journey where even she herself can no longer distinguish between what is real and what is not — yet she must face her worst nightmares.
Nosotros, aquí is the feature by Miguel Alcantud (Black Diamonds [+see also:

There, they discover that fantasising is one thing and living out those fantasies is quite another, as they come face to face with age, guilt, responsibility and real bodies.
Techos, by Eva Mor (creator of the series Boca Norte), tells the story of four women constrained by different oppressive ceilings. Lola, an executive, realises that power comes at a high price, while her daughters confront their own limits: Marina faces the wage gap, and Claudia the absurd sexism that holds back dreams. Alongside them is Engracia, a neighbour who has cared for them and is now fighting to keep her home.
