- The Estonian Film Institute has partnered with TV channels to support the three features
The Estonian Film Institute (EFI) and the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, in cooperation with ERR (the Estonian National Broadcaster) and Estonian TV channels Kanal 2 and TV3, will support the production of three micro-budget feature films.
The scheme originally received 21 projects, with a five-member jury choosing the three movies. Each is receiving funding of €120,000 (with €40,000 provided by the EFI, €40,000 granted by the Cultural Endowment of Estonia and €40,000 supplied by each of the respective TV channels). The films are due to be shown theatrically in the latter half of 2016 and will then be screened on Estonian television.
