PERSECUTION

by Patrice Chéreau

synopsis

Daniel is fine and everything is going well for him. Everything. He has a talent for handling life that other people envy. Yet recently he’s needed to act calm and cool so as to deal with a guy he’s never seen before, a man who’s harassing him: He follows him along the street, knows exactly when he’ll be doing things, he even manages to slip into the places where Daniel works. He has the appearance of someone who thinks Daniel is a gift from God, the man of his life. Daniel works on a regular basis, always in different places, with no boss. It’s hard at times, but he never complains. At least not about his work. But at times Daniel gets wound up and moans about Sonia, who he has been in love with for three years. She too is in love with him.
