HUGO EN AFRIQUE

by Stefano Knuchel

synopsis

When Hugo Pratt died in 1995, the whole world paid him homage but nobody spoke about the Ethiopian cross he was clutching when he died. His intense relationship with Africa remained a mystery to the end. Thanks to unpublished audio-visual documents and a modern-day journey, Hugo en Afrique describes the story of a secret love which began in 1936, when Pratt arrived in Ethiopia with his family.
