The story of Anna Kéthly, the social democrat politician who fought all her life against dictatorship, no matter whether fascist or communist. After the revolution of 1956 she lives in emigration. In the seventies an agent, a young man from Budapest visits her in order to entice her to return home or to compromise her. Kéthly rather chooses death away from home than return.
