MOTEL

by Fabrice Gasser

synopsis

After a long journey that ends in a fiasco, Alejandro arrives at a motel and decides to stay there. He develops a fondness for the proprietress of the motel, an elderly, blind and extravagant woman with whom he forges a trusting and friendly relationship. There he also meets the young Ariane, who suffers from amnesia and thus constantly sleeps, in the hope of finding her memory again in her dreams, as well as the strange Blaise, who doesn’t have his life under control anymore. All of these people share their expectations, their despair. They love each other, bond with each other, stir each other up and find themselves – only to lose each other more easily.
