synopsis
June 1999. Paris’ City Hall glimmers with a thousand lights. The mayoral candidates are impatient to go to battle. Betrayal, jealousy, threats, doubts, theatrical flourishes are all part of the deal and punctuate the campaign. So real you think it’s fiction. As for the dialog, it’s merciless. Tongues let loose with killer remarks and end-of-dinner squabbles. The camera, which keeps out of the limelight, is everywhere: at dinners, press conferences, late meetings, on café terraces…
