Its 1991. In a Belgrade apartment, Vojislav (aged 29) is talking over the phone with someone. There is a half empty bottle of liquor in front of him. On the other end of the line, there's his best friend Dok (age 29) working in a pizza parlor in Toronto. Vojislav tells him that he just received the news that his son has been born. In the middle of their conversation, a military police patrol bursts into the apartment, drafting him for the military campaign in Vukovar (Croatia).
