While on summer vacation, the wife of Stéphane Monnereau, captain of the Parisian police force, disappears. Clues seem to indicate that he might have had something to do with her disappearance. To avoid being arrested, Stéphane flees with his son. From then on, he must cope with his double mission alone: prove to investigators that he's innocent and find out what really happened to his wife.
