SCOSSA

by Francesco Maselli, Carlo Lizzani, Ugo Gregoretti, Nino Russo

synopsis

100 years ago, a terrible earthquake, followed by an equally terrible tidal wave, devastated and largely destroyed Messina and Reggio Calabria. The cities of the Strait. 100,000 dead. The filmmakers recount the pain and emigration caused by the atrocity. Above all they recount the human capacity for adventure, fear and anger, but also for predisposition and rebirth.
