synopsis

Based on a free adaptation of the popular fairy tale by the same name from Cape Verde. A creole girl returns from Europe to her homeland due to the sudden death of her father. There, she will come up against the harsh reality of an African country and the ghosts of her past: the absence of her European mother, cohabiting with her stepmother, the onset of puberty.
