Hans Güntisberg is at his wit’s end with all the work at his cheese dairy. To top it off, a sick refugee spends the night in his goat stable. Although reluctant, Hans lets Rashid stay with him until he gets better. Hans’ initial annoyance, however, soon disappears when Rashid lends a hand. He helps out where he can – and things gradually begin to change.
