Anne leaves Estonia to come to Paris to look after Frida, an elderly Estonian who has lived in France for many years. But when she arrives, Anne realizes that she is not wanted. Frida’s only desire in life is attention from her former young lover Stéphane. As for Stéphane, the only thing he wants is for Anne to stay and look after the old woman, even if it is against her will. Caught up in a conflict not of her making, Anne eventually finds her own way forward.
