DEANIMATED
synopsis
Avant-garde filmmaker Martin Arnold subjected a 1941 American horror film to radical cinematographic manipulation. The actors were made to disappear with the aid of digital technology, and the space within the film became the true protagonist in a precise and absurdly funny reinterpretation. The original film, Invisible Ghost, was turned into a study of the dis-appearance of films in which the actors and acting are of primary importance.
