Fred was once an engineer who now finds himself living in the street. One day, a little girl's gaze reawakens his dignity and reminds him that he was once a father. In search of meaning, he leaves his squatter friends behind to look for his roots in Brittany. A new Robinson Crusoe, Fred reconstructs his life and creates an amazing world out of nothing - or almost nothing. He pulls himself together, rediscovers a social life, renews old ties.
