The project After the Tone is not exactly an ordinary film. Henk Burger had once written texts for what could have been a radio play: messages that for a whole year have been spoken into the voicemail of a certain Onno giving contours to a character and telling a story. But Onno does not answer anymore. He has disappeared. The theme gradually shifts to how those around him deal with that.
