THE DAMNED

by Dan Svátek

synopsis

Two young men are arrested at the international airport in Bangkok trying to smuggle heroin out of Thailand. They refuse to plead guilty and are, by Western standards, harshly punished for their crime. Due to incessant problems with drug trafficking, however, the Thais consider the sentence appropriate. The film tells the story of a young man who abandons common sense, conscience, courage, and in the end, even his freedom.
