STRANGERLAND
by Kim Farrant
synopsis
The Parker family has moved to a small town in the Australian outback in hopes of starting a new life. But none of them are particularly happy about the decision. While Matthew spends most of his time working, Catherine is left home alone with their two rebellious teenagers, Lily and Tom. The life of the family is turned on its head one night when a huge sandstorm moves in and the two kids disappear without trace. The parents receive help from police officer David and several neighborhood residents, but the atmosphere changes during the hot desert search. As curious rumors and suspicions spring up around the Parker family, the hope of finding their children alive dwindles from day to day.
