WHAT JACQUES SAW

by Xavier Diskeuve

synopsis

Having only just moved to Chapon-Laroche, a peaceful village in the Ardennes, Brice and Lara have to deal with the arrival of a huge Dutch holiday resort. Brice's cousin, Jacques, claims to have seen apparitions of the Virgin, and in an attempt to fight the proposed development, Brice tries to back up this claim with the local authorities. This would make his village an important place of worship, at the same time preventing the construction of the holiday resort. But the Vatican's surprising response will radically transform village life, and above all the lives of Brice and Lara.
