synopsis
An actress prepares to perform the role of Mariana Alcoforado, a young Portuguese nun living in the Beja Convent, who wrote passionate letters (published in English as Five Letters of a Portuguese Nun) to her French lover, Count Chamilly. The actress, who identifies completely with Mariana, leads us beyond time and imagination. Based on Mariana Alcoforado's letters.
