RIVERBANKS
synopsis
The Evros river. The border. A deadly minefield which a battalion of volunteers are trying to clear. Yannis is a mine-clearing expert. He is an adventurer, a dancer before the mouths of Hades. At night, Mafiosi smugglers take illegal migrants across the river. And sometimes the minefield breaks the dark silence. A young woman, Chryssa, helps children to cross the river. Chryssa will bump into Yannis. Defying death is their common destiny. Chryssa’s troubled soul finds a haven. And, as for Yannis, he finds a family.
