CAFARD
by Jan Bultheel
synopsis
The First World War is raging. Jean Mordant is on a trip to become Wrestling World Champion while her daughter Mimi is in their hometown of Ostend, where several German soldiers assault her. Sick with hatred, he swears revenge and enrols in the prestigious ACM, the first motorised division in history, willing to fight German troops in the front line. Few could suspect that said decision would lead him into a dramatic trip through several continents, trying to go back home. A trip that would forever change his way of seeing the world.
