synopsis

In her first feature film filmmaker Mai Masri explores the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Young Layla gets arrested and sentenced to a long prison sentence after picking up a Palestinian hitchhiker. In prison – where she realizes that she is pregnant – she ends up in the middle of a rebellion orchestrated by the other prisoners.
