MARSEILLE
by Kad Merad
synopsis
Under pressure from his brother Joseph, who he hasn't seen for twenty-five years, Paolo resigns himself to leaving his calm and harmonious life in Canada behind for a few days and to return to Marseille to his dying father's bedside. He leaves, with his son, determined to not linger in this city which he fled many years earlier after a dramatic episode. But he hadn't taken into account the affection bestowed upon him by his family, rediscovered after all these years, or the encounter with a young woman, not to mention the joyful and simple solidarity of Marseille folk, all of which will reconcile him to this city that he once never would have wanted to leave... Marseille.
