synopsis
Mareld is the product where documentary and film is mixed in a dark synergy, where reality and fiction can be difficult to distinguish. A film team went out into the Stockholm archipelago. The plan was to record a thriller where the scenes were improvised in chronological order. The actors got to know their characters and one overall approach directive. They did not know the end and most of the scenes were not presented until just before shooting. The director had some surprises during production. A documentary filmmaker followed the work and suddenly the documentary became an unexpected experience. The question is when reality surpasses the fiction …
