ZÁTOPEK
synopsis
Zatopek is based on Alice Nellis’s screenplay and tells the story of the Czechoslovak long-distance runner, three gold medals winner nicknamed the “Czech Locomotive”, at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki. Sports, as well as the fateful socio-political perpetuals, are reflected in the personality of Emil Zátopek. The iconic historical figure becomes a dramatic human “coloured” character.
