Fernando Vila is an experienced immigration lawyer who accepts an apparently simple case: to prevent the deportation of Zita Krasniqi, a Kosovian woman. When she is found dead under suspicious circumstances inside an immigration detention centre, Fernando seeks the help of Zita's friend Juliet Okoro, a Nigerian woman trapped in a prostitution mafia, to discover the truth. While trying to help his new ally, Fernando finds the fierce opposition of police officer Oriol Cadenas and soon begins to unravel a huge case of corruption and abuse inside the State's immigrant deportation system.
