Charlie is a self-perceived failure who accepts the fortuitous opportunity to fake his own death so that he will be free of his family's, friends' and peers' high expectations of him. Once "dead", he discovers how much he loves and misses his old life - and how much he was loved and is missed. The problem is, how to get back? Especially when the various people with whom he interacts, including his daughter, assume he is a ghost.
