synopsis

After thirteen years in Guantánamo suffering hunger, torture and humiliation, Palestinian Muhammad is released. He is relatively free, as there are not many options available to him. Uruguay is the only country willing to open its doors to him. Muhammad tries to build a new life in a country of foreign language and customs. This film follows in his footsteps during the first two years that the country offers him shelter, portraying the complexity of a situation in which goodwill meets reality.
