by Henri Decoin

synopsis

Gérard Favier, a famous pianist and composer, and his wife Sylvia, with whom he is very much in love, meet Monelle, a young, pretty, talented pianist and fervent admirer of Favier. The musician takes the young girl under his wing and propels her towards success. One day, a tabloid newspaper announces that the composer and his young protegee are having an affair. The information is false, but Monelle begins to dream. Although he loves her very much, Gerard is very embarrassed and tries to push away what looks like advances on her part. Sylvia, for her part, has doubts.
