HOPFEN, MALZ UND BLEI
by Mark Lohr
synopsis
In this action comedy, the typical American image of the "Wild West" meets the Bavarian way of life and culture. Humorous and with love for the Bavarian homeland, the film plays with cliches, only to dissolve them again shortly afterwards. In the fictional story, the musician couple Done (Florian Blädel) and Jackie (Lea Liebhart), who are looking for an engagement, suddenly get caught in the crossfire. Not only are the two young Indians (Joel Akgün, Richard Ciuchendea) after them, but but also five brewers and their master brewer Babsi (Corinna Blädel), who, disguised as bandits, want to make big money, as well as gunslinger Anton (Mario Pruischütz), who will walk over dead bodies just to see his dead wife again. The audience is catapulted into new worlds of experience and kept on tenterhooks until the end. An action-packed, fun-loving and breezy light cinema experience with imaginative details.
