synopsis

A doctor (Renato Baldini) whose wife has been accidentally killed by a young man (Decimo Cristiani) who lives in an impoverished zone of Madrid, goes there with the intention of taking revenge, but after meeting the man's little sister, he goes through a change of heart and decides to stay and help the people that live there, supported by the benevolent local priest (Félix Fernández).
