Anna wants to improve her marriage to sculptor Marco but ends up having an affair with her new teacher Antonio. While performing a careful balancing act alternating between her two lovers, she becomes pregnant and realizes she doesn't know which is the father, so she goes to a weekend retreat on her own. After Marco sees her off at the train station, he and Antonio meet, hit it off, and decide to have a guys' night out on their free weekend.
