Initial expectations of Elias are high. He is the son of the richest farmer in the Zillertal valley and is expected to take over the family's various properties soon. But the harder the 18-year-old strives to live up to the hopes placed in him, the more he suffers. Everything changes when he moves up into the mountains. Elias soon settles into the wilderness and solitude, developing a close relationship with the natural world.
