A lieutenant from a contingent of the French army stationed in Mali is seriously injured when his armoured vehicle explodes. Repatriated to France and placed in intensive care, he begins a long period of convalescence under his sister’s worried yet watchful eye. They find themselves in their Alpine family home, amidst mountains, lakes and forests.
