AGENT

by Nikolaj Lie Kaas

synopsis

As an agent for some of the big names in the music and film business, Johan’s job is to solve his clients’ problems – be they professional or personal. And yet he has enough of both kinds himself. He shares with his ex-wife custody of their ten-year-old daughter Tallulah whose longing for attention he disappoints on every weekend visit. His boss, who is also his mother, keeps him on a tight leash because of his staggering expense claims. And he still owes a lot of money to the local mafia boss. It is a good thing that a lucrative contract is about to be signed – provided nothing unforeseen gets in the way. As brilliant as Johan is at juggling several crises at once, he is also adept at making seemingly harmless situations escalate completely. Chronically overstretched but never short of ideas, Johan teeters breathlessly between ingenious plans and absolute chaos.
