THE ASSEMBLY LINE
synopsis
France, a few months after May 68. Robert, an academic and far-left activist, decides to get a job at a car factory as a line worker. Like other comrades, he wants to infiltrate the factory to rekindle the revolutionary fire, but the majority of workers do not want to hear any more about politics. When the company demands that all work three extra hours a week with no compensation, Robert and a few others see the possibility of a social movement.
