synopsis

Amelia is a woman already advanced in years who lives alone and teaches at the embroidery school in the heart of a Southern Italian city, in the Fifties. Her life is closed in the circle of small and repeated habits, a daily reality of loneliness e melancholy. Then, one day a stranger breaks into her house to inform her that a man called Felice is invoking her name on his deathbed. While not knowing neither of them, something mysterious inside Amelia is triggered, pushing her to follow that stranger against all reason. This is how in her daily life, suddenly a passage is opened, through which 'the others' can finally enter her life. First of all, a woman who has stolen her name, Marisa.
