In Czech, Octopus is an abbreviation for Cold Case Investigations Unit, a title invented by an ageing Detective Inspector Dítě so he could pursue the thirty-year-old Jordán case. His boss, DCI Schwarz, is sympathetic and when Dítě is assigned the young, ambitious DI Fáberová, it soon becomes clear that they won’t stop at one case only. It is up to the two detectives to find new leads that would help them finally solve cold cases.
