As a child, Maka Gogaladze was forced to take piano lessons that drove her to tears. When she challenges her mother about it, the latter retorts that children must be taught discipline. Drawing on her personal experience, the filmmaker observes with caustic humour the mechanisms by which an entire society – in this case Georgian – is brought into line through education.
