synopsis
In a small town in Valencia after the Spanish Civil War, Ana and her family struggle to make ends meet. The war has left them all deeply wounded, especially her brother-in-law, Antonio. Ana tries to heal them with her cooking, her secrets and her silence, but when Isabel, Antonio's new wife, joins the family, Ana's attention and care will make no difference: sacrifice is not always rewarded.
