ALCOOLTEST

by Stefano Usardi

synopsis

Sergio lives attached to his glorious 1970s, when all of Italy sang his songs. He sleeps on an abandoned sailboat in the middle of a meadow on the edge of a small mountain village. He drinks beer and tries to forget his past, but small hallucinations make it all very difficult. Sofia, who is about to marry Luca, a young car tuning enthusiast, treats him like a father and tries to help him get back on his feet. A young "liscio" band also tries to involve him in a new song. When he starts singing again, his agent reappears and tries to convince him to leave his new friends. Distracted by the escape of a calf, which Sofia gave him as a marriage token, he tries in every way to stay sober. Amid unlikely village festivals, excessive meals, and an identity crisis, Sergio is forced to leave his past behind...
