LEILA

by Alessandro Abba Legnazzi

synopsis

Leila is the story of Clementina, a nine-year-old girl who returns with her father, Alessandro, to the mountain house where they usually spend their holidays, a symbol of a deeply painful separation. A few years earlier, in that very house, Clementina wakes up and suddenly finds herself managing a life she was totally unprepared for: she sees her mother walking away in the distance, backpack on her back. She asks her father why this happened, but instead of telling the truth, he begins to construct a fantasy game in which they transform into Leila and Torino, two bizarre aviators who must fight against the army of good to find their mother. Leila is the reconstruction of a separation through the eyes of those who lived it.
