COCKROACH
by Luboš Kučera
synopsis
Former doctor Miloš, now living as a stay-at-home husband, struggles to come to terms with the collapse of his career, the weight of daily routines, and his deteriorating relationships. When he discovers a compromising pornographic video allegedly featuring his wife Lucie, a whirlwind of absurd situations unfolds. Over the course of a single day, Miloš faces insurmountable conflicts with noisy neighbors, family tensions, self-doubt, and systemic oppression from bureaucracy. Neighbors, students, his wife, and PE teacher Denis all contribute to the grotesque atmosphere, as Miloš searches for a way to restore balance to his life.
