IT’S WINTER
by Sajad Imani
synopsis
In Iran's Zagros Mountains, sixteen-year-old Sogol faces a winter that shapes every choice. Days are built from chores, trading, and routes that open or close with the weather. She looks after Delaram, a younger companion, and holds to one clear idea: learning can widen the path ahead. As storms, distance, and paperwork close in, they weigh the pull of tradition against the chance of something new.
