After her brother’s death, Sofía returns home more than a decade later, to the village’s only house with water, which maintains a vegetable garden and livestock. There, she finds her father, Gabriel, made ill by the “Saturn25” vaccine he received 25 years earlier, imposed by a fascist regime that punishes families with more than one child. As the population rises up over the water shortage, Sofía fights to obtain the antidote that will halt her father’s decline and uncovers family secrets in a dystopian setting.
