Alicia and her daughter Carla move into an old house in search of a fresh start after a difficult divorce. However, they soon discover that the house harbours a dark history, a chain of tragedies that seems to repeat itself generation after generation. Carla, who is struggling to find her place in the world, begins to notice that something in the house is not right. Her mother, increasingly paranoid, starts to fear that her daughter is behind the strange events happening around them. But the truth is even more terrifying: Alicia is the one losing control... or worse still, she never had it.
