LA BODA
by Pedro Cenjor
synopsis
Felisa is a free spirit, with all the problems that entails in a rural setting. On several occasions she moves to Madrid, where things do not go well for her, and she is forced to return to the village, to her parents' home. Now in her forties, she still depends largely on her mother and on the latter's widow's pension, since what she earns doing the hair of elderly ladies at home barely covers her expenses. Weekend partying and the debts she owes the village dealer lead her to agree to marry Sebastián, the single son of one of her clients. Felisa agrees, as with the wedding money she will be able to settle her debts and, why not, move back to Madrid and leave the village once and for all. The plan is perfect: each will keep the money from their own guests, and after the wedding they will divorce. The couple's life will change forever.
