HUNTING DAY

by Pedro Aguilera

synopsis

Blanca, Rosa, and Carmen are three middle-aged friends who, after a long time without seeing each other, reunite with Diana, Rosa's young and taciturn niece, to go rabbit hunting on a reserve inherited by Blanca. Amid laughter and confidences, the conflicts in their lives come to the surface: children, separations, infidelities, alcohol, and professional ambitions. The stifling heat and memories of the past create tension until the women confront each other, evoking a tragedy that occurred almost 60 years ago on that same estate.
